Join Us for a 

Mouline Rouge Sampler Stitch-A-Long

starting in June

 Join us for a twelve month long stitch-a-long (SAL) stitching the beautiful Mouline Rouge from Long Dog Samplers.  The pattern is available for purchase in the shop.  The pattern suggests choosing your stitching fiber and fabric to suit your tastes.  This is your opportunity to dive into your own stash and use materials on hand.  You can use one color fiber or more than one.  The only stitch is cross stitch.  The design stitch count is 364 x 364.  On 32ct fabric stitched over two threads (or on 16ct aida) the design size would be
22 ¾ x 22 ¾ inches. 

The classes will be held on the last Saturday of each month starting in June 2010, meeting for two hours from 12 PM to 2 PM.  Our first meeting will cover what materials you have selected or want to select for your Sampler, and the first page of stitching.  You do not need to have your materials for the first meeting.  You can choose to stitch over one or over two on whatever count you want.  Bring your pattern and any fabric and threads you have already chosen to the first meeting and we will discuss your choices and the first page.  If you feel confident to start the stitching before the first meeting, you can do that too!  Each future lesson will cover one page.  There will be a $15.00 charge at the first session for the first three sessions and then $5.00 a session thereafter.  Materials and pattern are your own to supply.  Pattern is suitable for stitching on either Aida or linen.

Beginning Linen Class 

Do you love to cross stitch?  Are you ready to take the next step and learn how to stitch on linen?  On this first day of Spring join us to stitch a design of the returning Spring birds.  We will be stitching on 25 ct linen with DMC cotton floss.  Class will be held on a Saturday from 12 PM to 2 PM.  Class fee is $25.00.  Bring embroidery scissor and any magnification you need.  Experience with basic cross stitch on aida and reading a cross stitch chart is recommended

June 19                                          Beginning Cross Stitch 

Would you like to learn how to cross stitch?  Join us in stitching our Quaker bird design on 14 ct aida cloth.  All the basics of cross stitch, including beginning and ending your thread, reading a cross stitch chart, and counting on aida cloth will be covered.  Class will be held Saturday, June 19, from 12 PM to 2 PM.  Class fee is $20.00.  Please bring your embroidery scissors.  No experience is required.

Stitch Group

We have opened our backroom for "stitch group". It will always be the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10:30am - 12:30pm. We also have a stitch group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
